Program Site Launch Days

Important launch information for staff and volunteers at all program sites.

Program Information

The program is for students in Grades 3-8

Programs are open to students in other schools across the districts who commit to both math and sports and maintain a monthly attendance of 75% or higher

Free for students who live in New Haven and/or attend a New Haven Public school

Limited bus transportation to programming can be coordinated from school to school

No evening transportation is provided. All families must pick up students from programs

Virtual Materials

Step 1: Browse Playbook

  • Open and review each tab

Step 2: Review Playbook

  • Check to make sure the off-site team has properly populated your playbook with the site roster and attendance sheets.
  • Check to make sure everyone understanding how to use the attendance sheet and communication log

Step 3: Update playbook

  • Add missing information where possible

Physical Materials

Step 1: Unpack Staples Boxes

There should be nine items in total:

  • 2x Black Plastic File Boxes
  • 2x File Folders
  • 2x Pencil Cases
  • 1x Pre-Sharpened Pencils
  • 1x Folder Labels
  • 1x Fine Tip Permanent Markers

Step 2: Assemble Student Portfolio

  • Create a folder for each student
  • Use one black bin for students in Grades 3-5
  • Use one black bin for students in Grades 6-8
  • Write student names on the front and back of each tab
